A personal sonnet.
"Secret Births"
by Joe Leo

Rising sun, solar flares, and hidden truths.
Nameless sons, bursts of heat, no legacy.
A warm embrace calms, wordless whispers soothe.
A sudden pull, a hint of treachery.
Out the door, lost now, but unforgotten.
A nameless mother, harsh busts of sobbing.
Alone, random, pointless, misbegotten.
Two hearts forever apart but throbbing.
Curtains drawn, white sheets, empty hospital.
A random world too young to be questioned.
It's kicking, screaming, breathing, post-natal.
These choices are far too young to be questioned.
Setting sun, solar flares, and hidden truths.
A dreamed embrace calms, wordless whispers soothe.
