A moment of seeing yourself through others' eyes
What do you do,
When you feel broken and used?
You’re disgusting.
When you see yourself,
Reflected with hips swaying
Below your thinner body.
You try to keep moving forward
But youre frozen, looking.
Your eyes might seem like theirs,
Do what theirs do to you,
But the shadows are back
And you almost don’t want to see you anymore.
But when you see you like that
And know that you could do what they do,
Thinner hips swaying
You almost wont be that again.
It’s hard again to bear the looks and the laughter.
You know what they feel,
They want you.
Your shape looks dark
So you try not to be afraid of it.
She wont look back at you,
She cant see.
And its not really funny,
That your boyish jeans,
Childish t-shirt,
And a face everyone calls cute
Cant, or wont, hide
The stupid kid you were inside.
Will you acknowledge them?
Your breasts, your waist, your hips and legs
They wouldn’t bother to look at your face
Would you?
You still barely blame them for what they do
