Move on but don't forget!!!
My shoes are covered with slime and grit

Also they no longer fit,

They've walked me thorough really tough times

But now they are giving fading signs,

So I have to buy a new pair

Although this seems a bit queer,

I'm putting on my new shoes

Trying not to get confused,

Hoping to adapt

In this unknown act,

I've started walking with these shoes on

A jerk, a tremble, then I fall,

Falling in the first attempt

I try not to feel contempt,

Second time I am more sure

I think I'm getting to know them to the core,

Now I'm walking without a doubt

Still I won't throw my old ones out,

Because even though I need them no more

They've given me loads of memories to store.
