A typical teen romance cut short by the guy.
You loved me once
And kept me warm
Kisses in the back of a truck
But nothing more

A glance, then a whisper
"Call me tomorrow"
Yet here I am lonely
With mounting sorrows

It was just a fluke
Intentions unclear
Your confidence never ceasing
A smile always there

Summer breezes
Bring more sweet nothings
Which slowly but surely
The door starts to close

Fall comes fast
Seasons blow by
I don’t even flinch
Knowing you're not mine

And when the warm wind shifts
I won’t come knocking
For more kind whispers
On a cold March night
