sad memory
You were beautiful,
with a pretty face.
Your empty heart
was full of deceit.
If I had my way,
I would love and be hurt
by you another day.

With a pretty face,
and a knowing smile,
you turned my world around,
made my blood boil,
made me smile and cry,
care, and wish to die.

Your empty heart
was full of deceit.
You didn't care if like glass,
or fine bone china,
I was broken into pieces.
You loved the sound,
Loved to dance on the shards.

If I had my way,
I would tear bandages,
poke and prod
that I may feel and bleed again.
Fresh blood and pain
with every heartbeat.

I would love and be hurt
a thousand times more
if I thought
at the end of it all,
you had a smile
just waiting for the right time.

By you another day,
I would love to be hurt,
if I had my way.
How ironic now the emptiness
and loneliness is all I remember
from you my beautiful one.
