A short poem on love
This is how you left me,
lying on the bare cold floor.
Thick blood gushing from my back,
My heart you had tore.
A stab from a friend,
You spat in my face.
I groaned from the kick,
I screamed for solace.
Before I could move,
You stabbed me again.
Who is this person I thought, I loved,
Bent on revenge?
That smooth dagger,
You took your knife.
And sliced through my back,
Cutting off my life.
Covered in my precious blood,
You towered above.
I prayed for the devil,
To turn into a dove.
Then you kicked me in the middle,
And stumped on my head.
You slapped me continuously,
Left me for dead.

How could this angel,
Break my heart in two?
Where did I go wrong,
What did I do?
I lay upturned, staring at the sky,
Blood leaking form my neck,
Slowly draining where I lie.
No thoughts coming to my head,
A tear trickles from my eye.
O God this is how he left me,
A rotten fruit, no good to buy.
