What Can Happen


A strong gust of wind blows by;
And a leaf begins to fall.

                   A child has entered the world,
                   A holy priest has said a prayer,
                   A jury has reached their verdict,
                   An angel has received its wings,
                   A scholar has learned something new,
                   A new relationship is flowing,
                   A leader has changed the world,
                   A soul has passed on.

So much can happen,
Before a leaf touches the ground.
