A Childs Prayer

A little child

kneels by her bed,

Talking to God

about things in her head.



Dear God she prays,

when can I see my mom,

I miss her so much,

She's been with you to long.



Tiny tears trickle,

Down pink rosey cheeks,

Her eyes toward heaven,

As softly she speaks.



I'm sorry to be sad,

But I miss her so much

The sound of her voice,

Her soft gentle touch.



Today me and daddy

Went to visit her grave.

I tried not to cry

I tried to be brave.
