a short story written for a contest--exactly 100 words; none repeated.
Muddy prints skipped down hardwood flooring, which was installed not three weeks ago.  Nearly covered by blankets (pulled chin high), Liza could hear rough, heavy breathing coming closer.  It reminded her that the new partition had been laid recently than she.  Sigh.

Rigid huffing grew nearer, and although his arrival became certain,  Ralph’s sudden appearance startled this pajama-clad couch potato.

Between clenched teeth rested a mass of red sequins…lacy straps…two large (deeply cut) empty fabric cups—an eyebrow raised, “time for play?”, questioned our lady. 

Doggy nodded enthusiastically, throwing fur all over. 

“I definitely need to get out more.”
