Short poem for a contest.
Walk for Always

Our travelled feet hit hollow ground,
Below, black grin of haunted sky,
We walk forever to that silent sound,
We walk forever, but why-O-why.

The world behind our weary backs,
Beyond us a life we do not know,
It is truly living that this life lacks,
But on we walk, on we go.

Our travelled feet hit hollow ground,
The dawning sun reminds us of the lie,
That life we left, to which we’re bound,
We walk for always, to live, is why.
