The loss of a friend, the eternity of friendship. Death and life, dreams and reality.
A little bird told me, that you were around,
it sang its song, such a beautiful sound.
His chest showed pride, his eyes in love,
a single ray of sunlight coming from above.
By friendship, we were bound,
in eternity.

A little bird told me, the world had been blessed,
he looked in my eyes, knowing he was possessed.
His wings were spread, he was ready to go,
he knew he had to go before the early snow.
Through friendship, we had confessed,
the power of the soul.

A little bird visits me, every night in my dream,
he sings to me, his song, flowing with the stream.
The time had won, he passed away,
so much sadness on a single day.
“For friendship!” was his final scream.

A friendship for eternity,
kept safe in two souls.
Never did I lose the affinity,
never I filled up those holes.

A little bird still sings for me, singing softly in my ear,
never does his song fail, it always finds a tear.
A friend, a brother, the one I could never miss,
my lips still remember the final kiss.
And though I know he cannot hear, I scream:
“For friendship!”
As his ashes flow with the stream.
