this poem is about having feelings for someone and wondering what they feel
Summer 2008 would not be the same
if you were not included in it.
When you entered you were in camouflage,
you blended onto all my surroundings.
All that time spent in the background,
my spotlight is now shining on you.
I cannot say exactly when it happened,
but I believe I am ready for something to begin.
Daily I drift into a restless daze,
and I can only see images of you.
I am awaiting your arrival,
a week that seems to last an eternity.
As the week slowly passes by,
I am awaiting your answer,
not from your lips or hands, but
the answer that will be seen in your eyes.
