Decided to venture away from love poems for a bit...let me know what you think
Body is cold and Life is black.
Only now do we notice the freedoms we lack.
Everyday I fear only the safety of kin.
An entire nation held captive by a leader's sins.
With War on the brink and Death on its way,
I care not to see another day.
Tears streaming, I crawl to the closet on hand and knee,
to grab the tool that will end my family's misery.
No longer shall we service such savage anarchy.
Let our blood spill on their culpable hands.
By taking my life into my own hands I leave nothing to chance.
Plummeting into this hellish world, I am unable to mend
this Anarchistic relationship which I must now end.
Too long I've sat by simply weathering the storm.
My free will stolen, my liveliness forlorn.
Now I see clearly, my mind finally free of your pollution.
Hear these last words, "Viva la Revolution!"
