Poem about two of the most important relationships I have.
Truth scares me
What is not said hangs in the air
All the lies we build upon
Shall lead us to despair
That which you try to hide
I clearly see
That which you cleverly conceal
Goes not unnoticed by me
Fool yourself
Go and fool everyone
Yet I refuse to be blinded
Your lies are brighter than the sun
My ears will not be deaf
My sight will not be darkened
I will not easily forget
All the things that have happened
Now here are my lies
Take them, as I take yours
Let's both pretend we're fine
Then fall apart behind closed doors
