Late at night

Its late at night and I'm ready for bed
Willing to rest my weary head
Closing my eyes, drifting asleep
Fading, falling, downward and deep

Dreams take me now as I lay on the bed
Whimsical fantasies dance in my head
Sometimes I laugh, deep in this sleep
A dream within dream close to keep

Where do I walk as I lay on this bed
Starscapes and mountain paths lightly I tread
Laughing and dancing in heavens above
Wonder, amazement, joy, and love

Slowly I fall as I wake on the bed
Eyes flutter open gone is the dread
Fresh new and hopeful, I feel in my heart
Today, everyway, opportunity imparts

Standing up tall, next to this bed
Dreams of the night, with hope I'm fed
Choices will come today and they will go
Living my life as He would I hope

Again comes the night and I'm ready for bed
