It really is a collection of a few moments of how I fell in love with the love of my life.
                                      How I fell in LOVE

We were only friends,
Or were we something more?
I never understood it back then
but it's not that I still don't.

And now when I look back,
I realise how stupid I was to think that.

There were many moments, that tell me so
but I distinctly remember two,
so if you don't mind, I'd like to share them with you.

The first time you really felt it,
was the first time I had thought about it;
I had accidentally touched your shoulder,
trying to prevent the fall as I faltered.
You looked at me with such surprised eyes,
that I thought your hand was fried.
I recoiled and even apologised,
not that I had done any crime.
I thought something was wrong with your mind but just let go after a while.

A few days passed after that,
till one evening we came out last after a class,
We were just about to cross the road,
when you decided to break a code.
All of a sudden you just grabbed my wrist,
  surprisingly creating a twist,
as halfway there you just let go,
and coming back from your trance,
let your eyes lay very low.

And after all of that, and more so
stupidly enough I still thought,
we were only friends and that's that and nothing at all.

Numerous times before and after,
we would look into each others eyes,
  and forget all laughter.
Sometimes you broke it and sometimes it was me,
yet all those times I never heard your plea.
These and many a heart-opening chats later
you finally told me what you thought better,
and it is so:"May be not today, may be not tomorrow,
but someday or another, can you be only mine, and no other?"

It was all asurprise,
  or was it really?
I really didn't know and neither did you.
So at that instant,
    I just said no.

Then it took me two months,
    and much pleading,
but I finally realised, what my heart was beating.
It said it wanted you and you only
that otherwise I would be alone, lonely.

So that's how I finally heard the singing dove.
And now I know,
how I fell in Love!
