The long and treacherous ride of a relationship.
Houston, we’ve lost another.
Another soul eaten by the sea.
This shall make three.
They all desert the same.
I am with bloody hands
And the sound of their cries haunts me.
But I feel so powerless in it all.
Out of my control.
Into the hands of whoever moves this world
In so many circles.
The revolutions are driving me insane.
I told you from the beginning that the ride was rough,
And if you were up to it,
You must hold on tight.
But you turned me blue,
So I pushed you back so that I could breathe.
You tripped and fell.
Overboard
And into the monstrous waters.
There are no life preservers on deck,
So you must swim if you wish to keep your head above water.
Shivering,
And drowning in tears.
I remain in place.
Stirring the ship to its destination.
Stopping for nothing.
Numb in my feelings.
A cold stare upon my face.
But from somewhere down inside
A fleeting desire to throw myself off.
Drown next to you and with hands entwined.
But a captain must go down with his ship.
May I never be tempted by the lure of troubled waters
Ever again.
