A soldier on the night after a long battle sees a sparrow flying overhead.
Hunter's Moon

Fly innocent sparrow,
For the moon is high tonight.
The comforting embrace of darkness lay wasted;
The night that favours the hunter
Is nigh...

Take flight, far from the sights of the
Savage nature of this world.
The unnerving truths of violent consequence;
The scarlet stench of death that looms over
Us now.

You have born witness to the evils of man,
Go now fly,

While your ravenous cousins hunt the latest hunted
Above,
Relieving them of the festering orbs which have so
Plauged their minds with grievous
Conscience.

You are free, and I envy you...
