A brief poem about a break up
How am I supposed to get over you
when you never gave me a reason why?
Now you expect me to just give up on us
when you know it's in my nature to try,
I'm getting told by our friends
that you're happy now and
that our love was a hope and a test,
That to you your life makes sense
and how I feel is irrelevant at best,
But for me the sun rose and set with you
and I'm left with nothing but pain,
And even though you hurt me I feel I'm the one to blame,
I hate myself for saying this but I'm glad you're happy now...
I guess that's what getting over true love means...
It's forgetting you know how.
