About a Love that can never happen, due to great pain and sadness
You shared for the first time
your true emotions with another
let me into the dark and mysterious
world you call your mind

I understand so much better now,
and yet it seems my own insanity
has increased ten fold
making me spin with confusion.

My heart broke as you started
sharing the intense pain inside,
and still the real pain seemed
incomprehensive, unreachable.

To have loved so wholeheartedly,
how lucky she must have felt
to have never have doubted,
yet not strong enough to keep believing.

The tears wanted to roll down
my cheeks as the thought started
to cross my mind, I would never,
feel that love from you

You are broken and just like
nursery  rhyme, wont ever be put
back together again, a few have tried,
but the cracks show so clear.

How can I wait for this, the
realty is that I have to let go,
off a Love that could have been great,
had it happened a few years earlier.
