The pain and confusion of loving someone you shouldn't.
Every time I look into your eyes

my heart softly, gently sighs.

I yearn for you with a passion so deep,

it's like my heart has been asleep.

Until you show up at my door,

treading my heart's fragile shore.

You don't know what you do to me,

no matter how I try, I can't make you see.

My feelings for you are so deeply seated,

you are all that I've ever needed.

I've shown you the truth that lies inside,

where all this pain and love collide.

Knowing how I felt, you chose to walk away,

now you wonder why I keep you at bay.

You've hurt me so much without even knowing.

These feelings I have, I can't keep from showing.

When you're near, a touch is all I crave.

For one kiss, I would be your slave.

And though it rips my soul to pieces,

my love for you never ceases.

That's how it will remain until time ends,

loving you inside, but on the outside, "just friends".
