Poem about a love.
The light grows dim and the silence gets heavy
The door opens and closes and he gets ready.
Sweeping her into a warm hug and kiss
He looks in her eyes and dreams of nothing more than this.

Every touch, every carress melts her heart
feeling crushed and unwhole when they are apart.
Never letting go, in this game of love
These two souls were meant to live on earth and above.

Cuddles and praises, even more than a kiss
There is, but only one more wish
To share this life, with not 2 but three
and the love of her life watches him grow in her belly.

The day he is born, life brings anew
A very tired mummy, and an exhausted daddy too.
But look at this love, never knew they could have it all
Love can definitely conquer all.

The days become long, the nights become longer
As he battles to become, in his eyes, the best father.
He struggles and needs help, and thats when she is there
the mother of his child, and he stops and stares

Watching her with him, so soft and serene
he kisses her eyes and her lips, and in between.
No bond could be stronger, no love could grow weak
And just when they say it, just when they speak

Mother is tired, from late nights and no sleep
Father is exhausted, work makes him weak.
Taking advantage of every little thing
They both bicker and argue till their little hearts sting

They both love this boy, they love each other two
but its hard when there is so much to do.
As she packs her bags, to introduce her new son
to her brothers and uncles and even her mom

He is preparing, for a week of bliss
taking a break from the noise and sound of her hiss.
After days of not speaking, she calls him to say
She misses him dearly, and wishes she weren't away

But yet, the voice she hears, isnt the voice she knows
Its the voice of a girl, surprised to be on the phone.
Maybe its a mistake? She knows that he loves her
So she checks to see if she got the wrong number

Back at home once again, seeing him after awhile
she thought she would be happier, even get a smile.
Nothing to greet her, not even a hug
She starts to wonder, is this really love?

Her heart drops quick, when the affair comes to light
and instead of causing a long heated fight
She packs her things, and runs for the door
Leaving behind what she once adored.

The nook in the corner, curled up with book
the kitchen, where so many nights she cooked
the TV they watched together for hours and hours
the table so many times that where covered with flowers

She cries inside, for this once was love
sheding a tear for this sorrow and leaving in a huff
Catching a plane, holding her son near
she knows she still loves him, and its for this that she fears

He will be angry and hurt, when he finds her gone
but why didnt he think what he did was wrong?
She is so mad and angry, for so long in her head
But she silently loves him, alone in her bed

She wishes it were different, we could have been a family
Where now there is two, there once was 3
Venturing into, this single parent life
She tries to figure out, if she was a good wife

The story doesnt end, it lives on
with her alone and scared, because he is gone
She knows she can do it, all by herself
but she still loves him and wishes he would help

What should she do? should she stay?
This is the story about a love, that is all swept away
