A thing I came up with while waiting for my ex at the San Diego international airport.
The human herd rushes by tense and preoccupied with a million miles of ferocity.

Nameless, seeming faceless

A mass of bodies, arms and feet

Canvas and flesh meld rolling along on slick urethane wheels

Destination somewhere other than here

Anywhere but

The gate, G35, must hurry

For what

Your arrival is departing

So sweet this release but full of sorrow from loves separation

To the ecstatic excitement from the landing of your new life
