A brief poem about a brief moment.
My nights are filled with thoughts of Maria Court sofas
And Belle & Sebastian posters.
Using Gin to straighten my nerves
As Christmas decorations listen in
On our slurred conversations.

An awkward goodbye said softly to brown eyes
Marks the beginning of a stumbled journey home.
I wonder in my bed if you ever think of me before you sleep,
Or am I just a drunken regret?
It keeps me awake as I can still taste you on my lips.

Pulling dyed black arrows from my clothes
As I try to not fall in love with you.
