A poem about waiting for that right moment to connect with someone
In that hour before you wake;

I feel my heart begin to race;

I make coffee for you to take;

I avert my eyes from your face.

Silence ensues between us both,

The subtle glance, the unspoken hope,

We are in a place we both loath,

Bound and gagged by a fraying rope.

The hours pass by and turn to days,

Still playing the indifference game,

Nothing changes our stagnant ways,

Both waiting for a moment that never came.
