Memories are precious. We need to pay attention to detail.

Just another number

Those numbers are suppose to taste like;
candy floss or honey covered ice-cream.
Only two other occasions come close to
the joy and happiness of this day.

The day you decided to feel the heat,
of each others bodies, sweat dripping,
embracing each other, till the only
image that remained was a single silhouette.

You had a dream, that this day she
would remembered forever.
Her enthusiasm burst, like black clouds,
with your dreams of a perfect day.

Preparations began - the distant sounds, doef doef
to warm those windy months, sparkling decorations
with colorful lights, to give just the right ambiance,
welcoming the people of the night.

And then the stench of disappoint, decaying hopes
and dreams as her sweet 16th turned to heartache
and pain. Trough the tears the truth revealed,
miscommunication left the invitations sealed.
