Short poem in Pantoum style, I entered into a school competition, theme was "Wintering".
“Bubblegum dreams” by Max Boblong

The summer dreams of my life vanished centuries ago

Fantasies of the fairy tales of autumn long since been forgotten

Instead this eternal rain drips down on the rainy rusted roof

And the bubblegum fantasy has just turned rotten

Fantasies of the fairy tales of autumn long since been forgotten

This endless winter has begun, and my blood has turned cold

And the bubblegum fantasy has just turned rotten

I’m destined to die, to grow frail and to grow old

This endless winter has begun, and my blood has turned cold

Chance of a Life happily ever after seems improbable at best

I’m destined to die, to grow frail and to grow old

The shining knight of my springtime has been bludgeoned to death

Chance of a Life happily ever after, seems improbable at best

The black knight has won, Black defeated White

The shining knight of my springtime has been bludgeoned to death

The icy winter moon has killed the summer sun, Darkness defeated light

The black knight has won, Black defeated White

This eternal rain drips down on the rainy rusted roof

The icy winter moon has killed the summer sun, Darkness defeated light

The summer dreams of my life vanished centuries ago…
