A poem portraying the feelings of someone when the love of his life rejects him.
Broken Sorrow

Rain falls from my eyes; stop tearing!
Thoughts run through my mind; Stop racing!
The pain too much; my mind isn’t clearing.
I need to break from the sadness I’m feeling!
My mind is Broken
‘Cause of the words you’ve spoken
Why couldn’t I see you wouldn’t love me?
Who now will set my heart free?
I never knew the pain you’d make me bear.
But then again, did you really care?
Sometimes I hope that you will see,
The pain and agony you’ve cause me.
My heart is breaking.
My spirit is aching.
Tears still fall from my eyes
As my torn soul cries.
Did you hear or see my heart tear?
‘Cause it did, and now my heart will never share.
Never again will my heart be whole
Because your words have caused such a tole.
Nothing will ever matter
I have never been sadder
Than I am here
Without you near.
The price of my pain, the jolt of your words
I’ll keep in my head, and remember your curse.
Will there ever be another chance
To see that beautiful glance?
You say you don’t love me
Like a great foaming sea
I am drowned in sorrow
For every tomorrow.
Darkness is a blanket that covers me.
It is all that I can now see.
It’s all that is within my broken soul
Like a deep, dark, and gaping hole.
Dawn will never come
I will never see the sun
A night without moon or starts,
That is where my mind and heart are.
The twinkle in your eye when I told you,
Tears swelling; it made me want to cry, too.
Not the same tears, but of a different token.
Just because of how I feel so broken!
Never again will I smile
Until for a while
You finally see
That you love me!
