A poem trying to express a feeling we live with.
Calm skies and despondent oceans,
Silent hours slipping by.
A life balanced on hollow notions,
Soon to be one left behind.

Sullen planes and solemn forests,
Yet another day turned night.
All hope in the world now laid to rest
With every shattered dream we hide.

November dreams of rewound moons,
As January leaps to May.
And all faith in the coming bloom;
Now washed away by cold despair.

Life meant to live is now a chore,
As thoughts of death revolve our mind.
For all we wish for is something more.
And all we get are broken lies.
