The Cops are coming...
Run For Your Life

No feeling in my feet
Heart never skipping a beat
Running at full sprint
The message was clearly sent
Stop where you are

I had run the 2nd block
In a state of shock
Heart tearing through my chest
Without a chance of rest
I ran one

It was so dark and cold
Thank God the cops were old
Only the light could track me
If only they would d help me
I’d have a chance of escape

Then I heard the squad cars
I pictured life behind bars
I felt a tear scream down my face
The fear was not out of place
I wept

I saw the cars ahead
Pictured my warm soft bed
The men behind me gaining speed
My mom there for my every need
I was trapped

I had cotton in my mouth
The caught me further south
They told me to speak up
I replied “shut up”

All my courage left me
They gave me no sympathy
It was dark an him
My chance of appeal slim
I was condemned

They brought me to the big hose
To a woman in a blue blouse
I did nothing but shake
