A poem inspired by a little musician I know.

yellowing pages
music is the only thing for me
but even that
won't last always and forever
my words and life are
scrawled and scribbled
here in lyrics on paper
my naked thoughts
lay
WIDE OPEN
maybe someday
someone will know me
me
me
not the person that’s been written
until then
the bass will keep me in rhythm
and the wide ruled paper
and pen
in line
