Sometimes it takes a little help to break down the barriers we carry.

Convincing myself
there is comfort in the
cold.
Lonely limbs still
longingly reach out
for more
Empty, but not gone,
existing in a
barren environment,
The breath I
breathe
brings no warmth,
but frigid and icy.
One
small and gentle
whispers a song of
better days,
reminding of
strength
long blocked out.
Caring enough to
break the cold
exterior
of my shell,
seeking shelter
through my weakness and
majestic moments.
My friend,
I hear your
harmony;
love melts my
resolve
Wrap yourself in my
protection,
stay near to
share my time.
A song
created in unison
brightening the dreary days.
Listen
to the melody,
carried by whistling wind,
of dissolution of
walls.
