A poem that describes why I love mosh pits
The faint smell of cigarettes
Captivate my nostrils
As I hear the tap tap
Of my chucks on the tile floor

The eerie amp feedback
Brings the room to order
As if it were a judge
Gather 'round for the verdict

Thunderous drums start the evening
With a guitar not far
Behind to pick up the slack
As I shed my flannel skin

I plunge into a whirlwind
A weightless universe
Fused with memories
That deny rationality

And open my bloodshot eyes
To endless midnights
And faceless names
Who welcome all

As the time wares thin
Let the storm guide you
Until the night has faded
and perspective has grown
