Learn from someone's mistakes
LESSON
I write these words for the children I see.
In hopes that they never end up like me.
I went off to war I believed what they said.
For a pack of lies my friends are now dead.

We picked up their gun we went off to fight.
I'll regret forever what happened that night.
The firefight started as lead filled the air.
When it was done there was death everywhere.

Dead men and dying littered the ground.
Death was all over that's all that I found.
Bobby  Billy  Big Jim  and Mike.
Lost their lives overthere on that terrible night.

What was the lesson to be learned from Nam.
No one must die for lies ever again.
