wrote around summer of 2005. This was an attempt (weak as it may be) at writing lyrics
Labor in love, kindness mistaken for weakness
Drink deep from the well of my soul and suck it dry
A succubus, always thirsty
Always locked away from me

Slit these wrist and pour this poison down my throat
I drown in the despair
I do it all for you

Do you see right through me?
This transparent vesper
Merely a ghost now in your life, a flickering light on the verge of existence

Never giving up
Never pushing hard enough
Despair in my semblance of hope
I do it all for you

If I set this bomb, light this fuse of my pain
Will you see the light, smell the brimstone of these charred ashes
If I force this hand will you call this bluff
Will the truth be told or will your answer be as vacant as this town

Never giving up
Should have pushed harder
Despair in this illusion of hope
I do it all for you

Knock the keystone from your walls
Storm the castle and set fire to these tapestries of your beliefs
Over throw this regime that has held hostage this soul so long
Freedom is only a few words away

Harder
Pushed more than I ever thought I could
Harder
And now I can give up
Harder
Despair no longer for there?s hope in this new world
A world without you
