To Shannon my friend...
** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

What to say to a man that changed my life other than thank you.
You took in a scared new kid and made him your friend.
We had nothing and everything in common.
You were a stoner a rebel and an ass kicker.
I was a nerd, a loner, and a wimp.
You taught me that it wasn't mandatory to see things 'their' way.
That appearances mean nothing.
That only what's inside matters.

That our word is all we have.
All we will ever be is reflected in the manner we honor it when given.
We grew up separately but with a common thread.
We both hated our homes.
We both had relatives but still felt alone.

I kept you in school.
I even saved your life when you overdosed.
You kept me sane.
Made me a better man.
You'd be proud- No one messes with me now.
I take no shit.
Not from anyone at anytime.
For any reason.
I respect myself and my word is law.
All thanks to you.

Although you are gone from this world I still think of you.
I keep your memory close and hold it in the highest regard.

Your death a questionable one with only you and God knowing the truth.
I have no fear. We will see each other again.
Somehow, some way...we will.

Take comfort that your memory lives on in those you touched.
No one misses you more than I.

I love and miss you my brother.

Rest forever in peace.
