A poem I wrote, about my walk and discovery of God.
Where do I fit in? Where do I belong?

I push and scratch my way back in

Just to be shown I was wrong

I miss the simpler times of yesterday

No one telling me I've failed

But now I'm here, and lost, seemed to have lost my way

I find it hard to carry on,

all this weight on my back.

I don't think I'll make it to dawn

My souls grows cold,

My heart grows heavy

I just need somebody to hold.

But who is this man before me?

The one with the shining robe?

In this darkness he is the only one I see

As I lay on the ground in pain

He kneels before me, offering his hand

As we touch I can feel his mercy, his grace, his love like rain

He casts my fears aside

Lifting me in the air

All my sins, washed away in the tide

You've lifted me to a higher tier

Showed me before the world

It's only because of you Lord, that I made it here

No one can touch me with you around

They are thrown into darkness in your name

When you speak Lord, I can hear no other sound
