Sometimes life just seems to gang up on you. Then the floodgates of emotions open wide.
Tired of the struggle just to survive
lives of disappointments, an existence contrived

Tired of the news in a hurry to report
badness, madness, gluttony of every sort

Tired of the tiredness that constantly deride me
the dragging of myself through mediocrity

Tired of building these pictures of words
to the vast of humanity they go unheard

Tired of the laundry that won’t go away
chores and errands that keep me from play

Tired of my list getting longer, my days getting shorter
while the distance to “me time” grows broader

Tired of disagreements, smart remarks and all
should just run away, let the chips land where they fall

Weary, worn out, exhausted, I’m tired
