These two I wrote on a bad ender-bender day.
18 FEBRUARY, 2009

:,: DIAMOND :,:

Barely alive, I was

After the holes got plugged

By booze and cheap romances

Filrtatious grins

No wanting, no waiting

Just taking

Without a single prospect

Or future

A thousand sutures

My heart, it was

It was a puzzle

Nonsensical

Flimsy but yet awake

Dormant but yet awake

Dead but yet awake

And hands that grabbed hair and skin

Snowflakes falling on her chin

Barely bare but honest

I tried not to obey the urge

Kept hand in pocket

Head in tact

INTACT

Fought valiantly for a purge

So clean, I should feel

God's touch

Til my brain got hold of my heart and it's surge

And both co-existed illogically

Each growing stronger, me weaker

I'm on the verge of breaking

:,: CRYSTAL :,:

Lay your head to rest tonight

We'll speak again tomorrow

Quiet down and sleep tonight

Forget about this sorrow

(Dream of escape

A king

A queen

A state

A crown)

Still your hands and do not shiver

The warmth is coming soon

Did you hear me scream so hard

Beneath the silver moon

I wanted so to know that night

What was in store for me

You could clearly see

I could not

So blind from dreams I saw at times

Where endings weren't abrupt

No mountains would erupt

Just shell-shock

As it set in

The constant glare inside my stare

The soldier's path I chose

Which chose me in return

No hurt

No hurt

No hurt

"And I looked, and behold a pale horse:

and his name that sat on him was Death,

and Hell followed with him..."
