What do you hear in the melody of a songbird? PLEASE R&R!!!
Songbirds sit so pretty in the window,
Sing, sing your lullabies
With your red chests and yellow feathers,
Sing with me again, your lyrical cries.

Hum to the sounds of beauty
Lingering in the air so soft,
Smell the sweetness of honeydews
As you take to the sky aloft.

Fly, beautiful songbirds,
Still humming your colloquial tunes,
Flying intertwined with each other,
Rising like a gentle balloon.

At zenith of their heavens,
I watch the songbirds split;
One comes down from blue skies above,
Back on the windowsill she sits.

Alone, she still sings her song so true,
So beautiful, though missing resolution,
Her lonely notes drift celestially bound,
And she sits, awaiting retribution.

I sing your song, beautiful songbird,
I hum to the heartbeats of love so free,
I fly so high on your winged notes;
For in your melodies, I've found me.
