A poem of love, what else
Dear, bid me time to go away,
To find the last dim falling light
The hidden touch of this cold night
To find a birth and an end

Dear, bid me time
To find lost worlds
To journey far
To leave forever
To know they are

To climb the mountain
To adventure high
To find a spirit
Passing by

One great journey
Is all I ask,
One great journey
And one final task

So that one day, when I return,
A man aged and old,
And sit so peacefully in my wooden chair
I can think that once, I was there:

And I caught the falling star,
And found my own Shangri-La
And moved nothing more than my sorry shoes
And found a world that I did choose

And I’ll think of this when I return
As I rest my feet and cease to turn
So that perhaps I’ll realize,
As I pass from this world,
It was your love I was searching for,
Nothing more
