A snapshot of my first love who inspired me tremendously and whom I miss very much.
Everybody's gone,
the past is fading,
but in my memory
you're still radiating.

On the outside I've moved on,
or so it seems.
To everyone else,
the sea still teems.

But in my ocean you're the only catch,
the only one shining through the haze.
With you I want to spend the rest of my life,
to me you're more than a phase.

When we talk, I can't help it,
I get lost in your presence.
There's something about you,
your glowing essence.

Maybe it's our conversation.
You're always attentive,
you always engage,
it flows naturally, no need for incentive.

I can't feel but that you get me,
you know my quirks and embrace my passions,
whenever we're together I smile forever;
your sincerity inspires my actions.

That beautiful smile and that lovely look,
your wonderful laugh and that soothing voice,
they melt away all my troubles,
of a contented day I have no choice.

You get along well and love others,
your compassion knows no end.
You treat all with kindness
and to all your best you send.

I can't explain how much you've helped,
to end my suffering and sleepless nights.
Your optimistic attitude and appreciative outlook
strengthened my resolve in many fights.

But:

Frustratingly it seems you're so far out of reach,
out of my grasp in the ocean's deep;
haunted by my fault for losing you,
throughout the night, my heart will weep.
