A reminder to myself and others as to why love is worth fighting for..

Disheveled thoughts reside in my mind as my reticent quality takes its toll
Closed to affable ones seemingly impossible of vituperation
They are incapable of grasping our true emotions and understanding the whole truth
I addle your emotions for me as I wonder if your eminent position in my heart has caused me to become ignorant

But I dare not denigrate our love for each other as my pessimism attempts to vitiate it
But nonetheless it is evident a trial has yet again crossed paths with us
I stare as the dark clouds reveal themselves from their skulking manner and watch as they prepare to exacerbate the ordeal we already face

Are we truly ones who deserve castigation for being in love?
Not once have I observed love as nefarious in any case
But who can ever gaze through our eyes and see what we see? Possess our bodies and feel what we feel?
Perceive our minds and fathom what we think?
There is nobody
No human can ever discern the whole truth

Afraid of the things obscure, I desperately seek for your hand
You hand finds mine and I turn my head to face you
I take one look in your eyes as it utters a thousand words unsaid
I touch your face and somehow feel serene as I am reminded why these trials a worth living through
No words need to be spoken as love is ineffable as is… as long as I know you are here, I can face the subsequent events

We know we can endure through all the trials we face
As the grasp of your hand helps me realize I no longer live for only myself
I live to be with you and will do what it takes to remain in your beatific love
Just always remember
My place is beside you
And no matter what happens...
I will never leave your side
