Just thinking about relationships.

If I laid my heart
on a china plate,

silver rimmed
casually beautiful
authentic white,

you would sit
blunt knife
grasped in your hand
gouging into my core.

Silently rending apart
my most precious gift to you.

Not realizing,
Never discerning,
Not considering,
while devouring all,
every minuscule muscle.

I sit
heart torn out,
clearly given,
but not lost
never invisible

rather,

found.
