I see a dark tunnel.
Standing in my way.
No light to see.
No night, no day.
An echoing flutter.
An icy breeze.
Choking my lungs
Like a living disease.
The thunderous roar
Pounding a steady beat.
My pale, numb fingers
Clenching the seat.
As light comes, I look and see
A sunken face scarred with pain.
Staring into my own hardened eyes
In the window of this train.
