A return to writing brought on by hints of spring.
Prelude to Spring

Hello?
Are you here?
I feel your whisper
In the warm February air.

Your breath stokes pines.
Clouds of yellow fade into blue skies.
Snowdrops face down.
Primrose reaches up.

Strands of silver web glisten
Against the backdrop of green shrubs.
Ducks preen, children dance.
Parents breathe, dogs prance.

Hello?
Is it you?
My skin warms in your glow.
I see your colors on this day before March.

Your touch coaxes pigeons and gulls skyward.
Contrails and clouds float south.
Sun shines down.
Human looks up.

Shades of green melt into one.
Canvassed by brown, red and purple.
People stroll, squirrels search.
Spiders weave, writers write.

Greetings!
I knew it was you.
Your breath, your warmth, your touch.
Welcome my friend, welcome once again.
