This is a depressing poem overall with a slight hint of hope at the end.
Take a look at the room you're standing in.
You've been here in this melancholy place before.
This is where you come when your heart caves in.
Here, the place you go when the pain invades your core.

The gut-wrenching desolation grips you,
Its pain causes your ribs to be wracked with sobs.
Tears flow freely down from your eyes of blue,
Your life has been made a mockery by the mobs.

With strained vision you look up at the walls,
And hung nearly everywhere are fading pictures.
These photos cover each inch of the halls.
You look at the sad people and your vision blurs.

No smiles in these photos can be found,
For each one is a memory of a dead past.
They stand as the memory of ones bound -
Bound by their rejection of God - a killing cast.

Here you see all the despair in their eyes,
These photos a snap shot of their dying moment.
The time when they gave up their haunting cries,
When they succumbed to the feelings of a life rent.

You start to feel your heart begin to break,
For in those pictures you see loved ones you once knew.
No one had known they would kill for pain's sake,
But these dead ones, you think, are the fortunate few.

Here you begin to desire your own death.
But please listen closely with your heart for God's call.
Accept God and be renewed by His breath -
The only thing that can turn your life around,
The lone thing that can make your foundation sound -
Before you are one of the pictures on the wall.
