To All Who Read: Read for the sake of becoming better.
Poem 1:
Clutter

Newspapers, pots, pans, makeup brushes, tote bags
Nail polish, Versace shoes, Chanel shades, Cosmo mag
broken end table, silver spoons and dishes, and a toothbrush
in all this clutter if you'd think id find something of worth if i looked hard enough

i picked up the picture from the weekend in spain and portugal
i remembered the dry cleaning from the chinese woman, so stereotypical
i made sure i brought the contracts back from the office like you asked me to
but the only thing i cant seem to acquire is a genuinely sincere piece of you

you "show" me yourself in flashy dinners, sparkling punch, and bubble gum dreams
vacations to holland, switzerland, japan, and of course the phillipines
expensive boat rides to foreign restaurants that i could never name
and yet i feel i've learned nothing of you and i know you enjoy the game

what you fail to realize is that this isnt monopoly
you cant buy me like broadway or some empty street
i plan to give you every bit of what i ever was
and still the money flows, people know, what you think they whisp'rin for?

i got the MAC, Bobbie Brown, Urban Decay, and Bloomingdale's shopping card
I have accepted my invitation to finance my own shopping mall
ive spent nights and nights fighting to keep my place in your heart
still time proves me wrong and no matter how much glue i use it falls apart.

so ive given up the fight through all this miserable clutter
never ever again will i be with another
lifes a beach and i guess im gonna catch a wave
im gonna go to the beach and mourn over the heart i gave

Poem 2:
TO DELILAH
A LETTER FROM THE DESK OF DRAMA INC.

i was just informed of your recent loss my dear
and truly this sort of situation arises out of a state of fear
what does he mean, "You're mistaken. It's not what it looks like."?
for surely you saw what appeared to you as an act of his lust-filled delight
and the woman that is in question is definitely one of pure beauty
how could a man with such unpious nature go without a look or three?
surely he noticed what beauty this radiant woman of god beheld
seems to me as if he trying to cover up and this is where he fails

exhibit A is the lack of time he spends with you on every night
exhibit B is the looks and smirks he seems to smother with airy gaze and poignant flight
exhibit C seems to me to be the situation you caught him in
what does he mean this great beauty is just that of a dear friend?
my dear delilah you musn't be fooled into this trickery this night
surely you realize his playing a game with you in a manner of flagrant spite
never would YOUR man do such a dastardly thing
as to neglect you of his love and honesty, courage and valor, strength and mentality he brings

if a man truly had your true feelings at heart would he not be at your door now?
begging you to take him back and promising a better love
one must only make the assumption that hes not nearly ready for you
so dear delilah here is what i suggest that you do

BE DONE with him. Who cares if he paid your bills on time?
Bleach his clothes and set them afire even though it was you on which he spent his last dime.
TORCH THE HOUSE and watch it go ablaze, you never paid a mortgage
dont give him a single thing to take his hussy back to.
he deserves no remorse or second thought of ANY kind.
no matter if his gentle kiss and sweet breath was devine.
surely you can realize the dire fault in him
even though he was the only one to take you for a real friend.
give him no chance to plead his case and give him no time for trial
just pluck his face and thoughts and memories out of your newly restored life
never again look back upon the sully he has created
just wait and look till he is crying and think about the mercy you never gave him.

Poem 3:
Quake

I shake with the fear in the uncertainty of my future
have i done all that i can to make this plight worthwhile?
flying about frantically seems to make me so unsure
and i throw myslef hard on the tile.

i hit the ground hard and its cold and its smooth
its touch brings me a chill that isn't hard to succumb to
the chill sits on you enticing you to feel every groove
but if left there to rot i know that i would do just that.

i got to get up no matter how hard it is
i have to fight throught the complacency
truth waits for the seeker to find it in earnest
and the doubter is left to be blind and never see

i wait for the quake cause i kno im alive
i wait for the quake for the power inside
i wait for the quake to make sure that it takes me
i wait for the quake for good is who made me

i give in to the quake cause i kno that he called me
i give in to the quake because without im dying
i give in to the quake cause its singing my song
the songs helped me through and the songs never wrong.
