a strong friendship... everyone needs someone an everlasting relationship
I hear your feet,

you're running down the street,

I try to ask you why,

but you just past me by.

I see tears running down your face,

like you've just come from a place,

you don't want to go back,

that's fine, I won't get in your path.

I don't understand,

why you're being this way with me,

it's almost like you know,

but you don't want to tell me.

"I've told you I am here,

and here I've always been,

I don't like to see you cry,

you told me you needed a friend.

You finally stop and look back at me,

I smile but you fall to the ground,

I run to your side as you say,

"Look in my left pocket, you'll see."

I pull out two notes,

surprised what they were,

two notes between him and I,

we wrote notes back in fourth or fifth grade I think,

Oh well, it still made me cry.

I look down at his face,

tears in his eyes,

I ask him,

"Are you going to die?"

"Not yet" he replies,

"but I won't be here long,

but please just tell me that you meant what you said in that song."

"Every word" I say,

reading the notes once again,

"I'll always forever, and forever

be your friend."
