This is about me. I am running on a little, dirt path that circles a lake.
It’s a cool spring morning
I hear the thump of my feet hitting the trail,
The fast beating of my heart as I run through the woods,
My loud breaths.

The weather is just right,
I hear a loud quack here and there as the ducks wake,
They swim towards the bank,
A little trickle.

The sun is coming up,
I hear birds chirping happily, they see the sun on the horizon,
They leave their nest,
Flapping their wings.

It’s a beautiful day,
I hear a scrawl and a scribble when I pass by an aged man,
He is sitting on the bench,
Making poetry.
